We would like to congratulate our swimmers who have been selected to swim in this weekend's A Meet.

You are receiving this email because your swimmer(s) have been selected to swim on Saturday. We are asking every family to please check to see which event your swimmer is in - every year we have parents who just assume their kid is not swimming and not look, leaving the team with a scratch. Attached is our preliminary meet sheet for the meet and Meet Entries by Swimmer which might be easier to locate your children.

We are looking for 100% positive confirmation. If you have indicated your swimmer(s) availability on Swimtopia or have notified us already we are considering you confirmed.

If you are getting this email and know your swimmer can not swim please let us know ASAP!

IMPORTANT – DAVENTRY IS NOT ALLOWING SPECTATORS. ONLY VOLUNTEERS AND OFFICIALS WILL BE ALLOW IN. THEY ARE LIVE STREAMING AND SENDING OUT INFO ON AN APP. INFO ON THAT LISTED BELOW.

We will be there with your kids, as well as our coaching staff and the jr coaches. If anyone feels like tailgating in the parking lot, and/or setting up a tv to stream (info below) – I would love to hear the roar from the parking lot inside. If you have any questions about this please let us know. We can have a brief parent meeting at the Happy Hour Friday.

Masking – This is also listed below but I think it's important to state here as well.

Mask are required by volunteers and officials that are NOT vaccinated

Mask ARE required in the BATHROOMS, going to CONCESSIONS and CLUBHOUSE

Masks ARE NOT required in the TEAM AREA, CLERK OF COURSE, or ON DECK by the swimmers.

Please pack a MASK IN A PLASTIC ZIPLOC Bag in cause your swimmer has to use the bathroom or concession area.

Meet at MHC no later than 7:30 AM for check in and caravan progression to Daventry Its about a 21 min trip Caravan leaves MHC at 7:40.

If you are driving directly to Daventry please notify the Swim Reps of your intention, so we can get an accurate attendance.

Make sure your swimmer has their cap (new caps and t shirts will be made available able again on Friday at the Happy Hour), suit, towel (or 2), team t-shirt (with name on it), activity to do (other than cheering). Healthy snack, fruit or bar. Bottle of water. Sunscreen. There will be a few pool chairs for us to use but a camp/foldable chair is recommended.

Cell Phones – Swimmers may have cell phones in their bag. Note this is a pool, things get wet – Swimmers bring cell phones at their own risk. Swimmers are NOT permitted to be on cell phone during the meet.

INFO FROM DAVENTRY (PLEASE READ) 

Here is some info for the meet. Please see pool slides for further details: LINK. I'm going to start with a summary of changes we've made for COVID:

1. All individuals must wear a mask in the restrooms and when going to the concession stand. It is optional to wear masks while staging in your team's Clerk of Course.

2. Added 5 min to each team warm-up. Feel free to split the time as you see fit. Your warmup will be 8:30-8:55am

3. Created team-specific Clerk of Course areas.

4. Moved visiting team area to baby pool- please see slide.

5. There are no spectators allowed on deck. We will be live-streaming the meet at: https://www.facebook.com/DaventryDolphins/

Our pool address is: 7721 Painted Daisy Drive, Springfield VA 22152. The meet starts at 9:00am. DV warm-ups are 8:00am to 8:25 am. MH warm-ups are 8:30am to 8:55am.

• Your team area is in the baby pool. We encourage you to bring shade tents and folding chairs as needed.

Our data area is covered for shade & rain by the club house. Please have your computer and printer handy in case there are technical difficulties with our equipment. They can be left in the car but we'd like for them to be on site just in case.

If possible, please bring your starter system for the 8 & under start end. We only have one and we find having a 2nd makes the transition between events much smoother.

Our concession stand will be open for snacks and drinks. Unfortunately, at this time we will not be offering any grilled or homemade food. Many thanks - and looking forward to a fun meet on Saturday!

We are asking that ALL SWIMMERS STAY UNTIL THE END OF THE MEET to CHEER and SWIM – AND STAY IN THE TEAM AREA. We will gather everyone up and will walk out to meet you. (If your family has something planned please coordinate with Coach Joel Before the meet) Get them to bed early.
