Greetings, Piranha Nation!!

We are so glad you are joining us for the summer swim team season! A friendly welcome to the new Piranhas joining the team this summer, and welcome back to returning Piranha swimmers and families.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to have the amazing and empowering Joel DeSatnick as head coach again this season, along with his legendary sunglasses and pep rally costumes. Don’t miss the first-ever team gear swap this Saturday, April 23 from 1–4 in the pool parking lot. This is the place to be if you:

• Have unused gear your swimmer has outgrown (think fins, goggles, suits, jammers, green accessories for pep rallies, swim bags, etc.)
• Have ‘vintage’ Piranha t-shirts to donate to other team members
• Need free practice cap or fins
• Want to score some of the free swag we’re giving away (hint: it might be our stash of ‘vintage’ Ts)
• Want to buy a limited-edition Piranhas koozie (conventional or skinny)
• Get temp tattooed with the awesome Piranha tattoos debuting this season
• Have questions for the reps or want to learn more about volunteer or social opportunities
• Miss your summer swim family and can’t wait to be reunited (awww, we miss you too)

Piranhas for life, oh yeah, P4L!! Support your swimmer and shop team spirit wear, available soon from Swim Outlet. Look for an email with specific ordering info in the coming days. This year, we’ve extended the selection to include towels, visors, pajama pants, string bags, sport-weight shirts, athletic and casual shorts, and so much more. (Really, we mean SO much more.)

Stay tuned for upcoming training opportunities for new NVSL certification opportunities this May for stroke and turn judges, referees, starters, and more. (Certs from last year are still valid.) This is an area where volunteer involvement is crucial, and appreciated beyond measure. Guaranteed, we will circulate information when the time comes!

Finally, please mark your calendars to kick of the season on Monday, May 30, from 3–5pm at the pool. On deck:

• Meet the Coaches: Executive coaches, junior coaches, and team will share information about themselves and the team
• SwimFair will be on hand with racing suits and goggles to try on and purchase
